Effective tailor-made solutions

HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC SEALS

LARGE STOCKS AND CUSTOM PRODUCTION WITHIN 24 HOURS

Selecting and using the correct seal is key to the operation of hydraulic or pneumatic systems. When designing and installing the system, it is important to pay attention to the choice of gasket, its quality, maintenance and replacement if necessary.

BE EFFICIENT AND WORK SAFELY

THE QUALITY, RELIABILITY AND PERFORMANCE OF HYDRAULIC AND PNEUMATIC SEALS HAVE AN IMPACT ON OVERALL EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY. THEIR PROPER MAINTENANCE HELPS EXTEND THE LIFETIME OF THE SYSTEMS AND MINIMIZE OPERATING COSTS.

Our manufacturing and trading company AFINIS Group® is, thanks to its almost 30 years of experience and a professional team, an expert in the production of seals and sealing technologies. As part of our product portfolio, we also offer you a complete range of hydraulic and pneumatic seals. A large number of seals for hydraulics and pneumatics can be purchased directly from our AFINIS Point retail store at Žitná 1 in Bratislava, thanks to our large stock.

Gaskets that we do not have in stock, within our AFINIS EXPRESS® product line, we will custom-make them for you within 24 hours with the optimal semi-finished product in stock. At the same time, we offer you the production of non-standard seals with dimensions and material design exactly for your application. In cooperation with our partners, we also offer COMPREHENSIVE CYLINDER SERVICE AND REPAIRS.

BEST SELLING PISTON SEALS
Among the best-selling piston seals in our offer are the Merkel L43 seal and the Dichtomatik KK03 seal. The Merkel L43 seal is among the world’s top, which is synonymous with quality with a long service life and a wide range of dimensions. The Dichtomatik KK03 piston seal is its more economical alternative.
An equally important group of hydraulic seals with wide application are Merkel T20 cuffs, OMK and OMS omegas or chevron cuffs intended for use for pistons and piston rings.

For heavy hydraulics, chevron cuffs are mainly used, which is basically a set consisting of three parts – a support ring, a pressure ring and cuffs. Among the main manufacturers whose products we offer are the companies MERKEL, TEMAC and CARCOSEAL, as well as others. In order for the hydraulic cylinder to function smoothly, other sealing parts are also necessary – wiper rings, guide belts or o-rings. You can find them all in our wide product portfolio.

As part of our AFINIS EXPRESS® product line, we can offer you and custom-make every single part of the seal in the hydraulic cylinder, even separately, in the required material design, starting from 1 pc.

By using the right seal in your hydraulic or pneumatic systems, you can get several benefits and improvements:

REDUCED MEDIA LEAKS – proper seals minimize liquid or gas leaks from hydraulic or pneumatic systems. This means that system efficiency is maintained and performance losses are minimized.

INCREASED RELIABILITY – seals that are designed and manufactured for a specific application can ensure reliable and long-term equipment functionality. This leads to a reduction in the risk of system failures and outages, which increases the overall reliability of the operation.

PROTECTION AGAINST CONTAMINATION – proper seals can protect hydraulic or pneumatic systems from ingress of contaminants that could cause damage or wear to system components.

PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION – seals can affect the efficiency and performance of a hydraulic or pneumatic system. Proper sealing can minimize friction and energy loss, resulting in more optimal performance and more economical operation.

IMPROVED SAFETY – seals play a key role in ensuring the safety of hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Their proper functioning reduces the risk of leakage, which can lead to dangerous situations such as liquid or gas leaks.

Hydraulics and pneumatics use similar principles to transfer energy, but work with different working media.

HYDRAULICS

Hydraulics uses an incompressible liquid to transmit energy and power, in most cases it is a special hydraulic oil. A hydraulic system creates pressure in a fluid using a hydraulic pump, which is then used to move hydraulic cylinders, pistons, and other components.

THE USE

Hydraulic systems are often used in industry, construction, automotive and other areas where it is necessary to transmit large forces and achieve precise and controlled movements.

PNEUMATICS

A tire uses a compressible gas, such as air, to transfer energy and power. Pneumatic systems create pressure in air using a compressor, which is then used to move pneumatic cylinders, pistons and other components.

THE USE

Pneumatic systems are often used where fast movements and lower forces are required, such as assembly lines, handling equipment, pneumatic tools and in some parts of automotive systems.

Although hydraulics and pneumatics share similar principles, there are differences in the properties of working media, pressure levels, speeds of movement and other factors that determine their suitability for different applications. Each of these systems has its advantages and disadvantages, and it is important to choose the right one for a particular application.
